公元79年8月24日，沉睡的维苏威火山突然苏醒爆发！瞬息之间，火山喷出的火焰遮天蔽日，熔岩四处飞溅，浓浓的黑烟，夹杂着炙热的火山灰，铺天盖地降落到庞贝这个城市！空气中弥漫着令人窒息的硫磺味，加上持续的地震和随之袭来的海啸，众人拼命逃离……
