少女琳患有血癌，就在她迷失于生与死的边缘时，结识了成熟稳重的苏格兰船员阿德，听过阿德所讲的关于他故乡天涯海角的故事后，琳感觉到一份莫名的缘分，然而突然间阿德消失，失落之际，琳碰到专门替人寻找失物的阿虫，聘请下他寻找阿德，经过阿虫的辛苦努力，琳与阿德终又见面，原来阿德准备回故乡定居。
