晚会以“祝福”为主题，并用该主题贯穿所有的节目，邀请文化艺术界、科学界等人物出任“祝福人” 。。Speedy" loses his job as a soda-jerk, then spends the day with his girl at Coney Island. He then becomes a cab driver and delivers Babe Ruth to Yankee Stadium, where he stays to see the game.
