张大千（1899-1983）曾被誉为500年来第一人，是20世纪从中国走向西方并享誉西方画坛的重要画家。 1949年， 他选择自我放逐远离故土，漂泊海外，在异国他乡度过了生命的后半生。长篇纪录片「万里千寻」探寻和表现了这位中国画家鲜为人知的海外艺术和人生之旅， 从而感受一位从东方走向西方并成为具有全球影响力的艺术家的心路历程。。Following on from the impressive Drift with its hypnotic transatlantic sequences reminiscent of Michael Snow, Helena Wittmann’s second feature is set in the Mediterranean Sea. The heroine navigates along the route of the French Foreign Legion from Marseille to Sidi-Bel-Abbes via Calvi on a contemporary Odyssey that is at once political and sensuous.。
