《虫师》改编自日本漫画家漆原友纪原作的同名漫画，由动画公司ARTLAND负责制作，于2005年10月22日起在富士电视台播放，全26话。电视动画获得2006年第5回东京动画奖电视优秀作品奖，并获选为2006年第十回日本文部省文化厅媒体艺术祭动画部门推荐作品。这是一部非常特殊的作品，特殊到几十年的动画历史中，找不到任何一部作品与它算同类。它通过在一个和风的世界里，淡淡地述说了幻想的生物“虫”与人的故事，在表现了无以伦比的美的同时，也通过跃然于画面之上的真情打动了无数人。。Two sisters, Becca and Rosaline, who have grown apart over the years but through tragic events learn to love and respect one another all over again.
